Learn the most common chords and be able to play your first song after just 1 lesson! You will build a solid foundation in guitar playing through carefully selected songs that you get to choose from. Once you get the hang of the fundamentals, you get to tell me which songs you want to learn during our lessons to expand your skills and become more proficient, and I will teach you how to read and play your favorite songs like a master! After learning the more common chords and basics of guitar playing, you will learn about strumming patterns, finger picking, and tabs through the songs of your choice. One benefit of this technological world is that we can find almost anything online if we know where and how to look, which includes most of our favorite songs. All you have to do is give me the names of songs you would like to play, and I will work my magic to help you achieve that goal. Playing the songs you listen to and love makes the lessons a lot more fun and rewarding for everyone. My guitar lessons inspire creativity and help develop new students into world-class players. All ages are welcome! Lessons are customized and catered to the needs/goals of each student.

🎸 Did you know that guitar students can work towards internationally recognised music qualifications? I prepare children and adults for ABRSM exams (Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music) - a recognised system of music exams used around the world, with grades taking students step by step from beginner to advanced level. The qualification gives students a recognised record of their musical achievement. The higher grades can also be useful when applying for further music studies and, in the UK, some university applications. But for me, the best thing about preparing for an exam isn't the certificate. It's having something real to work towards. You learn pieces, develop your technique, see your progress and have the satisfaction of reaching the next level. My students have consistently achieved excellent ABRSM guitar results, with 95–100% pass rates. I'm a professional guitarist with over 20 years of performing experience, a Master's degree in Jazz Performance & Production, and many years of teaching experience. I have a few places available for the new academic year, for both children and adults. If you'd like to know how ABRSM works and whether it could be right for you or your child, just send me a message.
